I love the Guillion brothers and their people hugely.
Libraryage, shoppage, seeing B&Kage and cookage. And now home, and more aparecium_rpg goodness. Amanda Victoria Jane Jones, oh my, who is about as unMarySueish as I could want. *buys Draco dots in Fast Talk, Bluff, and Rhetoric fast*
I'm kind of disappointed with the dictionary_wotd feed. It still hasn't turned up a word that I didn't know perfectly well already. As a paid user, I'm not tight for syndication points, but if I were a free user, would I cancel my subscription? I've debated it, but I think that given my subscription lowers the cost fractionally for people who would benefit from the feed, altruism dictates that I stay subscribed.
What I really want, though, is a feed or community with really interesting words, ones I don't already know like witzelsucht which I discovered today in David Crystal's Language Play. Anyone know of one? or should I start one?
Cheeses bought today (ah, what a friend we have in cheeses!): McLelland's Seriously Strong Cheddar from the Co-Op, and St Agur and an interesting soft white cheese with a layer of crushed pineapple running through it - alas, I can't remember the name - both from Darlington's, the cheese, meats, tea and coffee suppliers in Coventry Market.
And now I'm going to test the fix from Myriad, and then sleep.
From Dorland's Illustrated Medical Dictionary, 26th edition:
witzelsucht (vit'sel-zoocht) [Ger.]
"A mental condition characteristic of frontal lobe lesions and marked by the making of poor jokes and puns and the telling of pointless stories, at which the patient himself is intensely amused."
