I'm going to post this as a productive way of sitting on my hands so that I don't Rant. I may Rant when I'm done; I may not. At least if I do, it'll be less venomous for having written this.

Marinated Chicken Breasts

4 chicken breast portions

50 ml balsamic vinegar
30 ml soy sauce
20 ml honey
1 clove garlic

Warm and mix the marinade ingredients together. Marinate the chicken for half an hour. Drain. Heat a little oil in a frying pan and fry the fillets for 7-8 minutes. Add the marinade, reduce the heat and simmer until the chicken is cooked and the marinade is thickened.

I served this with basil, lemon and tomato cous-cous. Use whatever you'd like.

Can't be arsed.

Oh heavens, I am ill-humoured tonight.

Wasn't a good sleep night last night. The brain should definitely come with an Off switch. Since it doesn't, temazepam had to do.

Not a good pain day, either, so I've spent most of it curled up in bed with a Michael Jecks book.

Now I should do the body-maintenance things, and I'll write. I owe people writing. I've run through possible scenarios between Blaise and Draco, and none of them are at all nice. But I do have a very good idea what the mosaic flooring in the Usual Place is for (*poke*s Flitwick for pointing it out in that vague hinting way).

Gr argh

The not-doingness being compounded by my, when having gone downstairs to make a prescribal cuppa, turning on the kitchen light and apparently blowing the house's lighting circuit.

I shall now go, by dint of monitor glow and the fading sky, to chivy out a candle with which to inspect the state of the circuit breakers.

Something there is that doesn't like a story.

Fiat lux!

et facta est lux.

Evidently one bulb had blown awkwardly and tripped the circuit breaker. We have photons.
