MHW

What an utterly cool day!

Started dead early to make sure I was up for when Kate came by. Much coffee, much talk, printery and disky goodness, then off into town to have PM and natter with Kaffwink, with whom I was discussing the person who did Kate's amazing desk, and saying "You should talk with Kate" - when Kate manifests! Much more coffee, nibbles, talk and talk and wonderful talk, then into town to do library thingies, and then my back crapped out :( So waited with Kaffwink while Kate fetched her car, then we dropped Kaffwink off at the train station, and Kate took me back to my house, bless her.

Much drugs. Then to James' for an utterly ripsnorting finale to Deadlands, in which we mocked just about every filmic genre we could think of en passant. Am now home, and going to bed :)

Any time any of you feels grim and useless, remember how blessed I feel in every one of you.

Er, "Weeeeeee?"

So I've got this stuff to write, and I'm all like "Weeeeeeee!"

Except I'm not. Something's set my knuckles off, and my hands are aching :( And, ridiculous as it may sound, that makes me reluctant to go and read the stuff I'll be writing in response to, because then I'll feel really bad about not writing.

Eh. *watches self* So how come I'm writing about not writing? *slow blink* Maybe I need meds - it was a long and tiring day yesterday, and I'm trying to manually crank my sleep cycle around so that I'm not nocturnal. So meds, yes. Weeeeeeeee.

In other news, I've just been going through the manuals for the printer I mentioned yesterday, the one I've been kind of given (except for insurance purposes, neeeeet) by Kate, pretty much for saying "please" and "thank you". You were right, mother, politeness wins. When I say "printer" I actually mean damn near phototypesetter quality PostScript 1200dpi full-bleed A3 16 meg RAM 40 meg hard disk Ethernet-ported ColorSpan UNITY 1200XL monochrome printer.

Say it, people -

Weeeeeeeeeee!

Haven't got it up and running yet, because it's Hardware and thus really stgpcm's domain - I don't want to go around plugging alien hardware into the network and making things explode.

Meh. So I like printers. Don't care if you don't, I'm all excited. Sue me. Now meds, and then - soon, soon - writey goodness. Mmmm, spicy.
