A small good thing.

Tonight, after a kick-ass Amber game (yes, Joseph got his ass kicked) I was trawling the Web to resolve a question[1] when fate, fortune, serendipity or fortuitousness (heh, throw synchronicity into the mix also, though the events were separated by perhaps thirty minutes) led me to encounter not only The Alan Parsons Project, to whose oeuvre I haven't listened in far too long a time, but also The Robert Parsons Project.

I didn't know about Robert Parsons before - though strictly that's not true, it's more that I don't remember hearing any of his music - but ooo! oooooo! ooooooooooooo!

So, after completing the O So Hush Hush Sekrit John project, I shall be joining the RPP and having mucho fun, I think. To be honest, if I didn't have a certain stickwithitness (OK, peanut gallery, pigheadedness: *oink*), I'd probably have put the OSHHSJP into hiatus and started on RP's Second "Excellent" Service for Means already.

Ooooo. Oooooooooooooooo!

[1] Which being: why the fuck does the only recording of this work that I can find miss out the Kyrie (OK, OK, I know it ain't the Kyrie, being an Anglican service it's the Responses to the Decalogue), saying that it's "omitted from this recording on musical grounds"? pistorius?
