The tool in question...

was merely a wooden spoon. I was making fondant creams: lemon, strawberry and chocolate, and the mixture was pretty stiff, so I got a blister from holding the spoon. That's all. And it's all healed up very nicely, which is good.

It's great fun here in Manchester, if a little inclined to rain - but then that's Manchester, isn't it? Matt is, as always, wonderful. It was much fun yesterday round at softfruit's where I was actually productive for once and wrote a review of a Stonewall pamphlet for the upcoming BCN, and I've actually registered early for Bicon this year.

The story for Griff goes apace - and since it's the day itself, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, HONEY!

So I'll press on with writing, and then think about cooking spag. bol. for dinner.
