Gah.

I've just realised something that's pretty much going to blow away a chunk of the workshop I'm going to be doing at Bicon on Bisexual Visibility.

One component of it was going to be a discussion on the 'Gay Money' project that happened off and on in the US (see here for a bit of a discussion) years ago, with the possibility of having stuff there (purple/pink/blue crayons, etc) for people to bisexualise their banknotes visibly.

It just dawned. US money right down to the dollar - currently worth 50p over here - is paper. I remember how absolutely stuffed my wallet got with bits of green paper when I was over there. Our smallest note at £5 is worth more than nine dollars. And you can't really stamp/mark coins.

I don't think people handle enough notes over here for it to be worthwhile. Over there, yeah. Nine and a bit times more worthwhile, ceteris paribus.
