Writing day

It's all going very well - I should definitely have something to show for it by the end of the week. Though I'm having to be terribly disciplined - for some reason it's plot bunny season, and the little darlings are breeding like, well, you know, bunnies.

Though it's not going to be a strictly writing day - I'm not quite sure of the details, but Jus needs a computer that's different from his to test something at work, so I'll be letting him have it to play with at some point this afternoon. I'm going to use that time to do something nice with the kilo or so of mixed raspberries and tayberries that I picked from the garden yesterday. I'm not quite decided what, yet, but it may be a sorbet.

I also ought to use a little time on the Dunstable Project. I've been playing around with using instruments instead of vowel vocalisation in the parts without textual underlay, and that's sounding good. Even though it's totally out of genre, saxophones go so well with voices that I'm tempted to use them; not always, but where they work best. It won't be too Officium, if you know what I mean, because it won't be improvisational sax, only doubling or replacing a vocal line.

Anyway, I'd best stop bimbling and get on with it, hadn't I?
