Dr Swallow was his usual good self. Listened carefully, asked a few thoughtful questions, and then gave me a basic check. Good news: my heart seems to be in good shape, and he's pleased with my BP (120/85 - I'd have preferred it a little lower, but if he's happy, I'm happy). Not so good news: I definitely am losing weight. I'm below 80kg for the first time in a long while - I've been stable at 80-85 all my adult life, which gave me an OK BMI. Then again, I haven't been eating properly, so perhaps it's not such a surprise that I weigh less. He is concerned by the cold sweats and shakes. It might be the antidepressants, and it might not be.
So tomorrow morning, off I go for a blood test. Pretty standard stuff (FBC, ESR, U&E, LFT, Glucose and TFT), but *pout* it's a fasting test, so nothing for me after midnight but water :( Jus is due a blood test too for his diabetes check - it's time for his HbA1C again - so we'll go and bleed together.
Follow-up appointment on the 5th, and I have a tetanus booster on the 3rd. Joy. Something to look forward to after the holiday :D
Again, thank you all so much for taking such good care of me. It's really appreciated.
