Well, that's the dental stuff sorted out for the next six months. All good.
I spent most of today with youngatheart and Christopher, going to Lush (of which more anon), having lunch (I had a yummy chocolate mousse and a pot of tea; healthy eating can go hang when I've got a mouth full of anaesthetic and want something gentle and comforting) for which we were briefly joined by giantpanda, finding and copying a leaflet from the library about a Makaton course which we may go on in January, and a little shopping.
The Lush trip was to buy us - Tina and I - a tin each of Lush's new Whipstick lip balm. Well, winter's coming, and who needs chapped lips? particularly when the alternative is a delicious chocolate-orange mousse of a lip balm! It's lovely. It's light and not sticky like some lip balms can be, and it's made with real honey, chocolate and orange and tangerine oils. Kiss me, I taste lovely!
Speaking of lovely tastes, last night's Amber game was the field test of the first version of my Aurum potabile. It was universally well received; the least positive comment was something like "That's really rather good!" and I was really pleased by many quiet "Ooh!"s of delighted surprise. Given that reception, I've just started infusing a one-litre batch.
I'm beginning to wonder if it might not actually be marketable...
Anyway: I'm pretty tired now, since I didn't get much sleep last night, so I'm going to lie down and relax a while, and perhaps even nap. I'll probably be back later; but if I'm not, don't worry, I'm fine and am probably curled up and snoring happily in the arms of my lovely stgpcm.
