Help to work against EU software patenting proposals
It's not just going to cover computer programs, either: this is really badly framed legislation that'll end up by allowing patents on pretty much anything that can be described by any kind of procedure. At the very least, it needs halting for a much more careful redrafting. There's been some pretty dodgy politicking by the EU Council to bypass the elected Members and get it this far. If nothing else, that kind of contempt for our elected representatives isn't something we should let slip by us.
Why? And some more detailed reasons.
