Good news is that the tumour is low grade, and it's very unlikely that it'll have penetrated the bladder wall. However, it's not at all unlikely that it'll recur at some time, and have to be dealt with again in the same way.
He'll have to have three-monthly cystoscopies for the next couple of years, and less frequently after that. Five-year survival rates for this kind of tumour are 90+%. That's pretty good.
So it's not so good as it might have been, but nothing to be hugely worried about.
