It's meteor time again...

Don't forget that the end of this week is the maximum for the Perseids. Northern Hemisphere only.

To find the radiant (the point from which the meteors appear to radiate), locate the constellation Cassiopeia, that well-known W of stars. The radiant is a little below Cassiopeia, about halfway between the two lower stars and the bright star Mirfak below them. The moon is new and sets early in the evening, so if the clouds hold off the conditions should be very good for observing.
