Ow!

So for no very obvious reasons the past two and a half days have been taken up with lying down, saying "Ow", and reaching for the painkillers.

I didn't do anything spectacularly strenuous on Monday. Bethany had her birthday party with seven or eight other littles at the Diner and I helped put up streamers and balloons for that, but that didn't take much doing; I walked to mrph's after the party for an Amber session, but that's perhaps a ten-minute walk; in short, I can think of no reason why my back's decided to be such a bloody nuisance this week. All I can say is that it had better sort itself out well before Whitby or I shall be unamused.

Speaking of Monday, right next to the Diner is a charity shop for the local Hospice. A very good thing to support, so when I'm in that area I tend to look in and see what's to be had. Obviously they'd been dressing the window for All Hallow's Eve, since it contained, among other things, first edition copies, all in very good condition, of:
  • Under a Blood Red Moon

  • Mummy

  • Awakening: Diablerie Mexico

  • Player's Guide to the Sabbat

  • A World of Darkness

  • The Succubus Club

I had to buy them, of course, at the ridiculous price of £5.25. Total. I'm going to sniff around various auction sites and see what I could get for them. Think it'd be fair to split any proceeds 50/50 with the shop, since they obviously didn't know the value of what they were selling?

Right. Time to eat a little something and then take drugs.
