The current burst of medical stuff is over and done. The only noteworthy part was the cute Australian MRI technician. I mean, what do you do when someone says "Would you like to drop your pants for me, please?"? I'll tell you what I did. I blushed. And complied. I bet he says that to all the boys :)
I've been reading carefully through the 5th Edition Ars Magica rules which jorune kindly lent me for perusal. A very well put together system; better even than 4th Edition, which would have been good enough from me to use. However on sober consideration I've realised how much work it would take me to update the historical milieu from the early 13th century, when AM is set, to the middle of the 16th, which is when I want to set my campaign. So I'm going to be using Mage: the Sorcerers Crusade instead, which is designed for the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries, even thought it's not so good a system.
A very pleasant lunch at Browns today with many of the usual suspects, after which a trip to the library and then Bishop Games, where I picked up a second-hand copy of one of the M:tSC supplements that I'll be using.
Final plans laid with mattp for my trip down to London so that he and I can go to the sigur rós gig on Tuesday evening. starcrossedgirl and petulans, you asked if there was any chance we could meet up while I'm down in London; Matt's got things to do from Wednesday, so I could wander over to your place on Wednesday if you'd like. As I said, I don't have to be back in Cov in any great haste, so would it be OK if I scrounged your sofa or the spare bed? that way we could spend more time together than we managed what with one thing and another when I came down for the Goblet of Fire :D If not convenient, no problem; just let me know...
Mmmmm, sleepy now. Must remember to set the clock forwards. G'night all; talk with you soon.
