And while I'm posting, thanks to gerald_duck I've just listened to a fascinating Woman's Hour interview of Norah Vincent, a lesbian journalist and writer who spent 18 months masquerading as a man. I'm definitely going to be adding her book about it to my reading list. You can listen to the interview (it's not very long) until it evaporates here.
