The weather is still on the too-hot side of my comfort zone, but at least today it's not been so hot that I've had to sleep through the daylight hours and surface at night. It's now possible for me to sit at the computer without undergoing Melty Death. We had some exceedingly decent thunderstorms yesterday, with rain and hailbursts, but that wasn't quite enough to do much more than replace the heat with humidity, which I also Do Not Like.
But today it rained. Hurrah. And I walked through the city centre with my face held up to the rain. There were people using umbrellas.
CBT was today, too. Oh my. I've had more fun at the dentist. I'm wondering whether I should make a separate filter for that stuff. I'm even more wondering whether I should make it private, or ask if anyone wants to watch. Thoughts? I warn, it won't be pretty.
I cooked tonight, for the first time in a while, because it's just been Too Damn Hot to do it recently. Nothing special: pasta with green peppers, fresh (undried, that is) garlic, fennel root and pine nuts sautéd in butter, with cheese on top. It was pretty good, actually, so I'll have to do that one again.
The Star Wars game last night was vastly entertaining. I don't know if my crew scare the enemy, but by the Gods they scare me. I'm having to think quite hard for justifications for my character NOT sacking at least two of them. It's not that she's particularly a hard-assed autocrat, but she is the captain, and if she can't rely on crew following orders and not endangering the ship, she's got every right to insist on their contracts being terminated. Of course, in player-group terms that would be a Bad Thing, but... it's a toughie.
