Jus didn't get the job. Both he and his agent were somewhat shocked. The agent does have a few more jobs on his books and will be putting them Jus's way.
Karen's mother died early Saturday morning. I've been round there helping to take the load off her, which was made more - I suppose 'complicated' isn't quite the right word, but I can't think of a better right now - by our friends Phill and Lesley getting married on Saturday, and Karen's elder daughter being one of the bridesmaids. So, all in all it was quite a day. I stayed there last night just in case anyone needed a shoulder to cry on; while I was very fond of Barbara (Karen's Mum), obviously I'm going to be less deeply affected by her death, so I'd probably be as good a person as any to be supportive.
