The VS/MA Spem in Alium project is now officially started.
I've started early - yes, emperor, I'd still love a photocopy of the score if/when you can manage it - but since the Complete Dunstable project's on hold until I can get MBVIII back from the Library (sob, I forgot to renew in time and now have library fines) which won't be for at least a week, I thought I might as well see how awkward working from the PDF reduced scores I've downloaded from The Choral Public Domain Library would be.
It's bearable - just. 1/4 of the screen vertically for the PDF, the rest for MA. I need a larger screen. Getting the Choir 1 Soprano notes and lyrics (no dynamics or anything fancy) in took just under an hour, so: 40 staves x 1 hour = 40 hours, plus probably another 20 or so hours doing dynamics, fiddling and tweaking... 60 hours or so. Decidedly speedier than the Dunstable.
